We are requesting a grant of $XXX and hope you will be able to continue to assist us as our organization grows to meet the tremendous needs of the population we serve. Mentally disabled children often attend special education classes at local public schools, but what happens to those kids when they reach adulthood? With few community programs to serve their needs, mentally disabled adults all too often spend their days at home, with little social interaction beyond their immediate family members, no productive outlet for their talents and creativity, and no sense of purpose in their lives...
